By analyzing attack data, a SOC can provide valuable insights into a company's business risks, identify weaknesses in its digital processes, and even offer intelligence about the activities of competitors or adversaries. For the state, the aggregated data from thousands of SOCs can provide a unique and powerful lens into the economic and security landscape. This elevates the role of security operations from a technical necessity to a vital component of strategic decision-making, ensuring its continued importance and investment in China's long-term development plans.
